What is Accreditation?
CARF International is a non-profit accreditor of health and human services. CARF assists service providers in improving the quality of their services, demonstrating value, and meeting internationally recognized organizational and program standards. Individuals from CARF visit programs and services to evaluate whether or not they follow the standards that CARF has established a high quality program or service should follow.
Our First Accreditation
On June 6 & 7, 2022 we finally had two accreditors come to our program after a long wait due to cancelations from COVID-19. Everyone was a little nervous as this was our first time and we didn't know what to expect. In the end, they praised all our programs, our amazing teamwork, and dedication to our persons served. Once the review was over, we had a long wait until we got the amazing news that we had achieved our very first 3-year accreditation! This means that COS met a substantial number of standards and our programs are of very high quality. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible!
